Leadership

We believe that each local church is to be governed and led by a plurality of biblically-qualified men. The Bible uses several terms for these men: elders or pastors or overseers. (These three titles refer to the same office.) The primary responsibility of the elders is the spiritual oversight of the church. Under the leadership of the elders is a plurality of biblically-qualified deacons, whose primary responsibility is to serve the physical needs of the church.

See: Acts 6:1-6; 14:23; 20:17-32 Timothy 3:1-8; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4
